The science
Asclera® is a specialized injectable medication used in a procedure known as sclerotherapy.
During the treatment, a precise, small amount of the solution is injected directly into the affected vein. The medication works by irritating the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and eventually fade from view as the body naturally reabsorbs it.
How it works
Inject
A small dose of Asclera® is placed directly into the spider or reticular vein with a fine-gauge needle.
Collapse
The solution irritates the vessel lining, causing the vein to seal and collapse.
Fade
Your body gradually reabsorbs the treated vein, so it fades from view over time.
Why MedexClinic
Dr. Asim Nouman, MD oversees all treatment protocols, so your plan is tailored to your specific clinical needs — not a one-size-fits-all script.

Clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of polidocanol in improving the cosmetic appearance of small varicose and spider veins.
Your visit
During your consultation at our Jacksonville locations — Cassat Avenue or Baymeadows Road — we evaluate your veins to determine whether sclerotherapy is the right approach for you.
We use a fine-gauge needle to inject a precise, small amount of solution directly into the affected vein. Most patients report only mild discomfort.
We recommend a short walk immediately after your session and the use of compression stockings for a few days to optimize results and ensure safety.
Asclera® is not suitable for patients with a known allergy to polidocanol or acute thromboembolic disease. A thorough medical-history review is a standard part of our pre-treatment process.
